S.W.A.T.
S.W.A.T. (Serving.Work.Adoration.Teamwork) applications are now being accepted for the 2010-2011 school year! Participating children must be in 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade and a regular attender in the Extreme. As schedules and availablitly change for so many families, we are asking that every child wishing to participate fill out a new application regardless of their participation in past years. You may either print the application HERE or pick up an application at the Rock or Extreme check-in desk.
There will be a special S.W.A.T. Team orientation celebration on August 10th from 1:00p-3:00p at the Lenexa Campus in the Student Center. Please RSVP to Erin English.

Volunteer Opportunities!
Now is the perfect time to start thinking and praying about what part you can play in Family Ministry at Westside. There are tons of opportunities to get involved, from behind the scenes prep during the week to classroom teachers on Sunday (morning & evening services), and all sorts of things in between like check-in, gradeschool worship emcee, sound booth, room set-up, and much more. There is something for everyone!
If you’d like to know more about a particular position, ASK! Family Ministry Volunteers all wear a name tag specific to their ministry area. (Reef, Rock, Extreme). Ask them where they serve, what their responsiblities are, and WHY they volunteer.

Summer Opportunity!
Hopefully your kids have enjoyed a year full of fun at The Reef, Rock and Extreme! Our volunteer teachers have knocked it out of the park this year providing your kids with engaging, age-appropriate Bible teaching every weekend. As we head into summer, we have lots more planned to help your kids grow in their understanding of God so we hope you will stay faithful in your worship attendance this summer. We would miss your kids like crazy if they weren’t here!

Easter 2010
Can you believe Easter is just a couple weeks away?! It seems like we have been “winter-ing” for so long… SPRING is here! I don’t know about you, but Easter is my FAVORITE holiday, and for many different reasons. Easter is a time to celebrate God’s wondrous love, and the new life He has given me in Christ Jesus.
The church also sees lots of new faces, young and old, on Easter. Whether visiting with family, or checking out “this church thing” for the 1st time on Easter, we have many guests and lots of opportunities to demonstrate the love of Jesus, both to the children in class, and their parents!
How can you help?? We are looking for extra teachers for each service to love on and teach children in class. Whether you are a veteren Sunday School Teacher or have yet to be a part of the exciting Preschool and Childrens Ministry, there is a place for YOU! Click HERE to sign up today!

Oscar Night is Friday, January 15th from 7:00-9:00 at Lenexa Campus and is for every volunteer in the Family Ministry, Reef - Thirst. We will enjoy deserts and special entertainment as we fellowship together. We also have a special surprise for each volunteer. I know I can’t wait!! See YOU there!
